Here’s The Details!
Thanks for filling out the form! Below are the details of this project:
Study Topic: Putting on the Identity of Christ
This devotional is written around the idea taken from Colossians 3 where we are instructed to “put on” and “put off” characteristics, attitudes, and identity. Each day of the 31 day devotional looks at one aspect of the identity we have in Jesus and what changes as we put that on. There are also Scripture to support that idea.
I started writing this book for young women but then realized how profoundly it was convicting and changing me. So I’ve redirected the focus to women of my generation. How will we lead younger women if we aren’t walking in the Lord’s truth ourselves?
Schedule
September 1: Introduction, Days 1-7
September 8: Days 8-15
September 15: Days 16-23
September 22: Days 24-31, Conclusion
How Will It Work?
Each week’s material will be sent to you in an email that will contain a link to a Google Document. If you prefer paper versions, you can print from there. But it’s easiest to use it online because there you can add comments or highlights so I will have the feedback all in the same place. If you do print out the devos and mark on the paper, I only ask you get those papers to me so I can see your feedback.
I will send out an email on August 28th with a link to the first week’s worth of devotions. You will receive the link for the next week’s devotions after our weekly Zoom meeting.
Weekly Meeting
Every Wednesday of September the pilot group will meet via Zoom from 7:30 - 9:00 CST. (The dates are above)
If you need to miss a Wednesday meeting I ask that you let me know before and that you still complete your reading and feedback before the meeting time.
I request that you not miss more than one meeting. The consistency of the feedback is invaluable.
What I Need From You?
Besides you faithful attendance, I need your feedback on the material. I hope for candid input. Your honest comments are gold. Did something not make sense? Was the wording of a sentence confusing? Did I not explain a concept well?
Just as valuable is feedback on what resonated with you. Where did the Lord work something into your heart? What ideas opened your mind to new things?
You don’t need to worry about grammar or typos, though you are welcome to let me know if you see any.
If you don’t think you want to participate, please just send me a text or email, and that is fine! Otherwise look for your first email on August 28th. I will also have a short explanation of how to use Google Docs if you have never used that before.
Whether you end up participating or not, please know I love and value you!
