With the challenges facing us now, discouragement, frustration, and fear threaten to overwhelm.

But guess what? We’re not the first people to face hard times. In fact, our current circumstances don’t yet hit the level of HARD, at least not in comparison to what people before us have faced.

But guess what else? These hard stories also offer hope and encouragement. Because not only have people suffered greatly, they’ve adapted and survived. They’ve come out on the other side stronger and with a better knowledge of themselves and what matters in life.

Many of the stories below are written from people who experience Jesus in the middle of the most challenging moments of life. Because Jesus doesn’t leave us when things are difficult. He carries us through.
