Term empty nest feels bad. Synonyms for empty: void, bare, vacant, hollow, meaningless. Think about finding empty nest. Useless

How depressing. Let’s redefine our nest. I like words. If I can come up with sayings or guide words, I have a much easier time continuing down the path.

I usually have a word for the year: this year my word is TELL. It guides my choices in 2021.

Another example: I have lots of ideas and creative project. They fell like baby chicks running in different directions around the yard.

Finally, I came up with a tagline: pointing the way home. In a global sense, this phrase describes all my writing, my speaking, why I encourage empty nest moms, why I speak to young mams, why I want to share truth from the Word.

It’s why I’m writing a piece of fiction for last three years.

It’s why I talk about prayer: pointing women in despair to the loving lap of their Heavenly Father who promises to hear.

So, what words can we substitute for empty in the EMPTY NEST?

  • Efficient

  • Spacious

  • Creative

  • Cozy

  • Comforting

  • Inviting

  • Foundational: full of memories, love, security

What word would you use?
